Double-Duty Dinners

In the second part of my Kitchen Remodel Series of How To’s I’m sharing some of the successes I found in meal planning. Double Duty Dinners to the rescue!

We kicked off April with a blog post last week about finding Zen during my kitchen remodel. I was surprised to receive personal feedback from many of you who not only enjoyed seeing the before, during, after shots but also the tips on how to transition to a temporary kitchen.

Amongst the noise and dust I settled into a natural rhythm in planning for one dinner, while allowing the leftovers to be made-over for a second meal. (plus take-out of course!)

In our Double Duty Dinners e-book this week we show you how to make our Indian Dal Multi-Cooker Spice Blend go further. Flip through the pages and take a peek at a selection of vegetarian and vegan recipes. It’s organized into three sets of two nights of recipes (night 1 and night 2) and includes a handy shopping list for each duo. You can transform one dish into another with a few fresh additions.

We’d love to hear about how you make your meals go further, perhaps we can include suggestions in another ebook.

Zen Moment

Leftoversnotes from a small, remote village in Scotland called Gamrie “On a Saturday my (now late) grandmother-in-law would collect her small weekly cut of meat from the butcher. On a Sunday she would cook it for lunch. And on a Monday the leftovers would be delivered to the baker to make a pie, to be collected later that same day.” Jane
